Ode to 2022

I was here!

Wispy clouds beckoned me into the vast bright, blue sky; so I set my toes to the very edge of a precipice and stretched out my arms. Wind danced upon my skin and whispered in my ears; boundless fragrant fields overwhelmed my senses and tickled my palms. Then both in the longest moment and the briefest blink of an eye, vivid colors exploded on that canvas before me. All mystically scored upon my soul. Then the darkest night fell, and above stars entered ubiquitously in wild abandon. I surrendered, untethered floating atop the not quite still sea of soft, glittery waves, and the moon… the moon stood watch to see what I would do next.
